A new beginning
Unlike last year where i welcomed the year with an incredible bang, 2009 was a mellow celebration. I visited Marina Barrage together with Makcik and it was our first time there. It was a last minute decision because we wanted to buy the Countdown tickets but i guessed there was a miscommunication. I saw the advertisement that the celebration was cancelled due to the discouraging tickets being sold but funny how i always saw the advertisement being aired. Even when i checked sistic website, the status shown cancelled. I was confused whether the countdown still going on. Alas it was! The ticket that was cancelled was the the post celebration party on the float. Goodness! Because of all the confusion, we didn't get to have the best sit to watch the fireworks! Now i know that Marina Barrage is not a very good location to watch fireworks display. Therefore the upcoming NDP, I shall avoid that place. Nevertheless, Marina Barrage is gorgeous.. If you want to unwind from the hectic week, i recommend you this place. The beautiful view, the fresh air and the hair-raising wind will blow the stress away. Marina Barrage is also a chosen place for couples to display their affection for one another ;PSo just becareful.. if not u will trip on a used condoom. LOL!
